Highlight of this weekend's trip to Seattle. Discovered he's a Saatchi brat, and I'm not at all in love with the majority of his work, but his prints at SAM were really good.
Also saw Thermostat: Video and the Pacific Northwest which was short video works created for Art Basel Miami put together by curator Michael Darling. Didn't watch all 19 of them, but I saw atleast one that was worthwhile.
Photographer Blake Gordon has been documenting the geometric effects of light pollution in Austin, Texas, capturing thinly defined shapes in the clouds, projected upward from the tops of buildings.
It's an accidental ornamentation of the city sky – or what Gordon calls Cloud Projections. They're really beautiful accidents.
