While official London Festival of Architecture events will be taking place on the South Bank, a decommissioned petrol station on Clerkenwell Road will serve as the site for a spectacular feast to bring the LFA celebrations to a close. My old hood..2 blocks from my council flat in London, right next to the McQueen office:
By day the petrol station will host a pleasure garden with oversized games and other treats and a Sunday afternoon picnic, featuring a ‘table talk’ on feasting and architecture by architect David Kohn.

"Helsinki Design Lab helps government leaders see the architecture of problems. We assist decision-makers to view challenges from a big-picture perspective, and provide guidance toward more complete solutions that consider all aspects of a problem. Our mission is to advance this way of working—we call it strategic design".

Born in Wales, Dai Jobu has in spite of his humble origins a very broad palette when it comes to what he likes.
As a man of spirit - or hwyl as it translates in his native tongue - he loves life.
And life to him means girls, motorbikes, art, fashion and music etc. in any and all combinations.
In part due to his small town beginnings, travel has always played a major part in his gameplan. As a result of his wanderlust he has been inspired by a veritable garden of earthly delights but by far his greatest influence has been found in the cultural mores of Japan in general and of Tokyo specifically; whether by day or night, it’s worldly wisdom is a great inspiration to his life and work.
Like some kind of unshaven renaissance man Dai Jobu has instigated a wide variety of projects including the Dai Jobu membership group, the Dai Jobu Menswear range, his re-imagining of the classic Pirelli publication with the Dai Jobu 2010 Garage Calendar, not to mention his recent move into band management with the PLAYBAND project. His involvement in Street Tracker bike customization is just another sideline that should keep Dai Jobu on the road to bigger and even better things.'

I had a one of these years back I got as a leaving prezzie from the CEO of Asprey, Gianluca Brozzetti. (I recall he wears Hackett suits ~ v un-Italian). I also got some massage oil (?), a rad Hussein white shirt, a Garrard jade knuckle ring I wish I hadn't ebayed and a pair of pattern grading scissors. Nice man. He's the CEO of Roberto Cavalli now. The Hussein/Asprey stint didn't really work out for anyone mind.
